My experience at ACen

There's an anime convention around my area. It's called Anime Central or ACen for short. According to the site it's the Midwest's largest convention for anime, manga, and such. This year is went on from May 20th to the 22nd. I went today the 21st. Friday was no good, I had school. Sunday wouldn't be good as well because well it's just Sunday. It was my first time ever going to one of these things so I wasn't sure what to expect. I also wasn't really prepared at all for like anything.

One of the things I did expect actually was the cosplayers. As expected some were good and some were just lazy. There was a lot of Yuna cosplayers from FFX. There was some sick Evangelion ones, like Rei, and Asuka in their plug suits. There was a Mari one too that was really good. I came across a Kamina one while I was waiting to register. It reminded me that I fucking hate Kamina. There were a lot of Naruto ones, which is okay they just came to have a good time y'know. There were a lot of costumes that I didn't really recognize. I really should watch more shit. I saw a lot of guys dressed up as girls, it made me laugh hard. There was also some girl that was playing that Nyan Cat shit on her speakers as she was going the con. My favorite one I saw was a Captain Harlock one. I saw it right when I was leaving. I practically spooged myself when I saw him. It was so fucking rad.

When I was looking through the stuff they were selling, I was blown away of some of the stuff. I saw a fucking Touch cd there, though it was the only Touch thing I saw. I would've got it if I had enough money. I was looking through the manga they were selling throughout the con and I tried to find Phoenix, no luck though. I did come across of some cool ones. I did see a Lupin III volume. I would've got it if it was volume 1, it was volume 2 though. I was really happy to see it still. There was a booth where they had a ton both old and Japanese games. I wanted to get a lot of them. Now for figures there so many ones I'd get, like fuck if I had 5000 dollars that wouldn't be enough. I really wanted to get this sick Saint Seiya figure, it looked so fucking awesome. It was so detailed. I wanted to get a lot of Gundams too. I don't even like mecha shit that much, it was just that rad. There were a lot of great One Piece figures. I really wanted to get a Franky or Sanji figure. I did end up getting 2 mini figures. A Lupin one and an OreImo one. I wish the OreImo one was Kuroneko. I don't like Kirino. It was still cool to get. I also got some sick Evangelion shirts. The one I like is just a basic NERV shirt, fucking cool man. I was gonna get the complete Evangelion series dvd but I didn't have enough money.

So basically these were the stuff that I really payed attention to. I learned a lot though when I go next year, be prepared, save money, and take better pics :P It was a good time. I'm gonna look forward to going next year. Maybe I'll cosplay No way ahahaha.
